For rights holders
This is an English translation of the Russian original. Where the two differ, the Russian text applies.
The site has two tools, and they concern a rights holder in different ways: analysing the design of a page, and downloading videos from VK Video, Rutube, Dzen and Mail.ru Video. Below is what each of them keeps, what the visitor gets and what we do after a complaint.
Design analysis: what is kept and what the visitor gets
On a public page the service measures what copyright does not protect: the layout, the palette, the proportions, the fonts and the spacing. To measure them it takes screenshots and by default saves the files the page loaded.
- The report — screenshots of the page at every screen width, of its sections and of its mobile version, the headings and samples of the text.
- The lighter archive for an AI — screenshots of the sections and of the mobile version, the page frame skeleton.html with its texts, the description of the sections and the original fonts the service counts as free — those whose names it finds in the Google Fonts catalogue or another open catalogue. It holds no pictures, stylesheets or HTML code of the original.
- The full archive — all of the above, plus the pictures, fonts, stylesheets, video and HTML code the page loaded.
All of this is kept for up to 7 days from the analysis and opens for anyone who has the link to the result. The site does not serve the page’s HTML code at a separate link — only inside the full archive. The task for the AI explicitly requires building an original site: not copying the texts, the images or the branding.
How to recognise our browser
The browser the service opens pages with for analysis does not hide that a program drives it, and names itself “dobudem.ru” in its User-Agent header — you can close your site to it by that name. The site does not read robots.txt: a page is opened at the request of one particular person, the way a browser opens it.
Downloading videos
At the request of a signed-in visitor the service downloads one video by its link from VK Video, Rutube, Dzen or Mail.ru Video — only among those the site shows without signing in: public ones and ones open to anyone with the link. It does not sign in to the sites’ accounts: it does not download private videos, videos behind a subscription or videos protected from copying, and does not get around protection. The video is not re-encoded: the file is in the quality the site serves, up to 1080p, up to 4K on the paid plan, or the sound alone.
We have no catalogue of videos and do not keep them: a file is put together on request and deleted 30 minutes after it is ready. While it exists, whoever asks next for the same video in the same quality gets it too — the video is not downloaded from the site a second time. We never publish the link to the file. Once a video is deleted from the site or closed there, it can no longer be downloaded through our service.
If you believe your rights are infringed
Write to dobudemru@gmail.com: give the address of the page of your site that was analysed here, or the link to the video on VK, Rutube, Dzen or Mail.ru, and what confirms your rights. If you have a link to the result on our site, attach it too, but it is not required.
We will reply within three working days and, if the complaint is justified, delete the results of analysing that page from our server — the links to them stop opening at once. For a video, we will close its downloading: the service stops showing and downloading it, and a ready file, if there still is one, is deleted within a minute. Deleting the video itself from the site is not in our hands — for that, complain to the site itself as well.
What we cannot do: bring back archives and videos visitors have already downloaded, or stop your page from being analysed again — there is no such mechanism yet.
Editions
- 1 October 2026
- The same day: videos are downloaded from Dzen and Mail.ru Video too, on the same terms as from VK and Rutube. Your browser loads a video’s cover straight from its site, so Dzen and Mail.ru see your IP address as well.
- 29 September 2026
- Results are now kept for up to the period: when the server is running out of room, the oldest results are deleted sooner, but never within an hour of the analysis, and ready video files never within 10 minutes of being ready or last downloaded. Before, the site refused new analyses and downloads instead.
- 28 September 2026
- The same day: on the paid plan a video is downloaded in 2K and 4K too, when it has such quality, and with no limit on length — only the size of the file is limited; on the others, up to 1080p, with both the length of the video and the size of the file limited. The limits themselves and how long a file is kept are site settings: the documents always state the ones in force.
- 28 September 2026
- Downloading videos added: what the service downloads and what it does not, that videos stay with us no longer than 30 minutes, and what we do after a complaint — close the downloading of that video through our service and delete a ready file.
- 27 September 2026
- An English translation published. The Russian text is the one that applies.
- 27 September 2026
- A font now counts as free only when its name is found in the Google Fonts catalogue or another open catalogue, not by the address it was loaded from. Only such fonts go into the lighter archive.
- 22 September 2026
- Rewritten in full: what goes into the report and both archives, how to recognise our browser, what we can and cannot do after a complaint.
- 17 September 2026
- First edition.
